Establishment Of Expert System For Pests Control In Joint-spot Between Urban And Rural Areas

At presence, pest control is individually administrated by three important departments—agricultural, forestry and environmental agents in our country. In the past decades, this mechanism was effective However, with the accelerated urbanization, suburban has been incorporated into downtown area, and the boundaries between city and countryside became faint, which makes it difficult for pest control. With the arrival of the information age, the information technology such as network and artificial intelligence has developed rapidly and infiltrated into various fields, which provide important means to solve the problem and to bring new opportunities for pest control. The research aims to establish an expert system for pests control in joint-spot between urban and rural areas. The system focuses on pests in rural area, forestry, urban (Suxian district) of Chenzhou. A set of database including knowledge base and rules base, and use dialogues between man and machine and induction control machine was established to provide strategies on pest control, and give users scientific guidance of controlling pests.The system is mainly composed of diagnosis and control systems of agricultural pests, forestry pests, and urban pests.
