The trail was made to study the seasonal tendency and deficiency of calcium-magnesium on soil-grass-goat by using two hundred Boer goat, during three periods on the basis of the Spring(Apr.), Summer(Aug.) and Autumn(Nov.) of grass in alpine meadow ecosystem in Xiangxi Karst. The faces excrement and daily feed intake of the goat were measured by the means of offering Cr2O3 and the Tilly and Terry's in vitro digestion trails, and urine samples were collected in metabolism trail. The content of the macro-minerals in the soil, grass and sheep were evulated in the lab, and the seasonal dynamics were anlyzed to explore the preventive and curative effects of supplementing magnesium to stabling goats that were deficent in magnesium, through different ways and doses of supplement. The results were showed as follows: (1) The content of the total Mg and Ca in the soil in Noven..(3.79mg/Kg , 10757mg/Kg ) were relatively lower than that in April and August. (2) The content of Mg in the grass was highest in April (8.84ug/g), Ca was the highest in August (5.96g/Kg); (3) Ca in the goat body displayed negative balance in April and Auguest, and their daily feed intake was less than the requirements of the goat, while the magnesium intake were higher than requirement, Mg in bone was normal; the content of magnesium in blood were 8.33ug/g, 8.56ug/g, respectivly, which were under the minimum requiment, possibly that some nutritions may affect the absorbtion of Mg. (4) Intravenous injection of 20% MgSO4 daily ,10ml each time, can significantly increase the plasma agnesium content of goat three days after, which can cure Hypomagnesemia effectively ; intramuscular injection of magnesium and supplementing magnesium to feed were effective ways to prevent and cure magnesium deficiency in goats, however, it is more suitable to addMagnesium to food in practical.
