It is a great achievement of Chinese scientist's first creation of rare earth application on agricultural which leading the world level and creating significant economic benefit, it can make yield increase and enhances plants antireversion force. Previous investigations showed that, photorespiration is a kind of consumption process and uselessness for human as it consumes carbon compound. And by inhibiting photorespiration can improve photosynthetic rate, then increase yield and quality, so past research emphasize on how to inhibit photorespiration to strengthen photosynthesis. Recent researches show that, it is a good channel to dissipation surplus energy. So, it is more important to study on the concordance of photorespiration when plants under adversity stress.Effect of cerium (Ce3+) on dosage and time effective of photorespiration rate, photorespiration rate, photosynthesis rate, key enzyme of photorespiration and growth index in soybean seedlings exposed to two levels of ultraviolet-B radiation (UV-B, 280-320nm) was studied with hydroponics under laboratory conditions. The results showed that:(1) During the scope of 10-60mg·L-1CeCl3 can raise Pr and Pn, especially 20mg·L-1 CeCl3 can improve Probviously, and the upgrade extent of Pn was high than Pr. So, the most suitable scope of CeCl3 was 20mg·L-1.(2) Ce(Ⅲ) can improve active of photorespiration key enzyme as GO,GS and CAT, leading to increase Pr, lessen photoinhibition to protect photosynthensis organ and improve antireversion force of plant.(3) With the increase of UV-B irradiation, the fresh, dry weight and leaf area decreased in soybean seedlings. Compared Ce(Ⅲ) treatment with UV-B treatment, the the fresh, dry weight and leaf area significant increased. It indicated that Ce(Ⅲ) could improve photorespiration, alleviate photo inhibition and was unfavorable for speeding recover self repair function under the stress of UV-B irradiation.(4) With the increase of UV-B irradiation, the content of chlorophyll (a, b, a+b) decreased in soybean seedlings. Compared Ce(Ⅲ) treatment with UV-B treatment, the content of chlorophyll(a, b, a+b) significant increased. It indicated that Ce(Ⅲ) can improve photorespiration, alleviate photo inhibition under the stress of UV-B irradiation and degradation of chlorophyll.
