The Application Research Of "3S" Technologies In Forest Resources Planning & Design Investigation

Forest resources planning and design investigation is a basic technical means,which can reasonably organize the forest management,can implement sustainable use of forest multi-function,can establish and perfect the management of forest resources and forest planning system in all levels.Forest resources planning and design investigation are very complex and concrete.Traditional investigative methods(The survey method of division forest resources based on topographic map) were not suited to modern forestry investigation and management,for it have many obvious shortcoming such as it need long period,spend much money and low efficiency to obtain the information.Combined with Remote Sensing (RS),Geographic Information System(GIS) and Global Positioning System(GPS)(short for "3S" technology),as a highly efficient means of forest resources survey,can be timely grasp the distribution status and distribution characteristics of forest resources.This has great significance to study the law of spatial distribution and the trend of dynamic change of forest resources.Based on studying and concluding the application research of 3S technologies in forest resources planning and design investigation in Luonan county,this paper establish a technology to obtain forest resources special information.The technology base on object-oriented skill and take the SPOT5 high-resolution satellite remote sensing data as the major source of information.Then,use this technology get the forest graph data and attribution data of sublot,which is the smallest basic unit in forest resources management, and complete established the database of sublot attribution.At last,based on the database and taking the GIS as core technology,applied ARC GIS software establish the management information system of forest resources.This system embodies the high efficiency and high precision advantages based on "3S" highly technology in forest resources planning and design,realize the forest resources data integration,including data input,query,analysis,demonstration and output.This can supply auxiliary decision-making measure for forest resources survey and management.
