Agricultural products in China western region are rich in resources, they are high quality and great features, some play an important role in world markets. Dryness is the traditional processing of agricultural products in China western region , but the time of the traditional method of drying is very long,it's inefficiency and poor sanitary conditions, it is difficult to meet the development of agriculture. In addition, there is extremely rich solar energy resource in China western region.It's a very important significance that emplodering solar energy resources while world economic development is feazed by energy crisis and environmental problem.For solving problems of traditional drying fruits and vegetables raisins production and advancing crop product quality of Xinjiang province,designed the multi-function mixed-mode convection solar fruits and vegetables dryer basing upon characteristic of climate and fruits and vegetables of this area.According to requirements of multi-function mixed-mode convection solar fruits and vegetables dryer ,determining the overall structure of the program, designing energy collection system, control system and drying system and setting parameter using inverse method.Energy collection system which area was 28 m2 is composed by 14 solar collector, divided into 7 groups,it was connected with mixed-mode convection . The temperature of air could be raised while the air quantity could be increased adopting the connection method.There was a angle with the solar collector,the angle value and latitude value where the solar dryer was setted are uniform.There were a variety of control devices in control system.Controlling the air temperature and blower speed with frequency converter, digital display device and gateway of regulating air, while controlling the blower run-time with microcomputer-controlled device, reducing the waste of manpower and energy. Control system was also equipped with auxiliary heating device which power to 12kW, it could heat when sunlight intensity was smaller or in bad weather.There were two drying methods in drying system, refluence drying and chamber drying.The chamber could contain 5 carrying vehicles which could move in orbit. The carrying vehicle was equipped with stainless steel net tray ,it could carry a variety of materials, for Panicle shape, massive, granular, bar and many other figure of materials. Chamber was designed observe hole with which could observed materials in chamber.There was also a hydraulic loading cars with drying system, it could facilitate to convey the carrying vehicle. Experimentation of solar drying was carried in city of Hami in Xinjiang province. The drying grape experiments show that the drying time was shortened 66.7% and the rate of green-class products increased from less than 35% to 79.19% comparing with the traditional drying ways,promoting agricualtural development of Xinjiang province.In addition, drying experiments of apricot and jujube were completed, the drying time of apricot was 13d,drying time of jujube is18d.
