The purpose of this experiment was to study the feasibility of the feeds in the growth Chinese raccoon dog without fish meal and the optimal proportion of substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal.According to the principle of same cage, sex, and close weight (P<0.05),150 raccoon dogs of 9 weeks old were randomly assigned to 5 experimental groups (30 raccoon dogs per group). Each group fed the diets containing without extruded soybeans (Ⅰgroup),25%(Ⅱgroup),50%(Ⅲgroup),75%(Ⅳgroup) and 100%(Ⅴgroup) substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal(Ⅰgroup was a control group, andⅡ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴgroups were experimental groups). The preliminary experiment lasted for 3 days. Reach conclusions by feeding experiment, digestion experiment, and the analyzation of body length and fur length. The results were as follows:1.The growth of Chinese raccoon dogs was not significantly influenced by partial substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal(P>0.05).But the weight of Chinese raccoon dogs was significantly decrease(P<0.05) by total substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal.In the whole trail period, the weight ofⅡgroup is the best.2.The feed intake Chinese raccoon dogs was not influenced by partial or total substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal.3.In growing, the feed conversion rate ofⅡgroup is the highest. In furring, the conversion rate of Chinese raccoon dogs was not significantly influenced by total substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal(P>0.05).4.In growing, the diet of partial or total substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal can reduce the weight gain cost of Chinese raccoon dogs.In furring, the weight gain cost of Chinese raccoon dogs was not significantly influenced by partial substitution of fish meal(P>0.05).But,the diet of total substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal can increase significantly weight gain cost of Chinese raccoon dogs(P<0.05).5.The DM(dry matte) intake of Chinese raccoon dogs was not significantly influenced by partial or total substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal(P>0.05).6.The DM apparent digestibility of Chinese raccoon dogs was not significantly influenced by partial or total substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal(P>0.05).In the whole trail period, the DM apparent digestibility ofⅡgroup was the highest.7.In growing, the protein apparent digestibility of Chinese raccoon dogs was not significantly influenced by partial substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal(P>0.05). The protein apparent digestibility ofⅤgroup is lower thanⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳgroups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).In furring, protein apparent digestibility was no significant difference between the trail groups and the control.8.In growing, the fat apparent digestibility was significant difference betweenⅡgroup andⅢgroup(P<0.05),and the fat apparent digestibility was extremely significant difference betweenⅣgroup andⅠgroup,Ⅱgroup,Ⅲgroup,Ⅴgroup(P<0.01).The fat apparent digestibility ofⅢgroup andⅤgroup were higher than that of the control. In furring, the fat apparent digestibility was extremely significant difference betweenⅣgroup andⅠgroup,Ⅱgroup,Ⅲgroup,Ⅴgroup(P<0.05 or P<0.01).9.The body length of Chinese raccoon dogs was not significantly influenced by partial or total substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal(P>0.05).10.The body length of Chinese raccoon dogs was extremely significantly influenced by partial or total substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal(P<0.01).The fur length of every trail group was respectively longer 2.67%,2.82%,3.37%and 0.58%than that of the control. It can be concluded from the present study that the feeds in the growth Chinese raccoon dogs without fish meal is infeasible. And the optimal proportion of substitution of extruded soybeans for fish meal was 25%.
