In this paper, the adaptability of new cured tobacco varieties Yunyan 85 and Yanyan 87 and the quality performance of Yunyan 85 were studied under different ecological conditions in Guangxi, meanwhile the indices for measuring maturity was selected by studying the effect of fertilization dose on yield and quality of cured tobacco leaves. The main results were as follows:K326 had stable yield and output value with broader adaptability and harmony chemical composition.Yunyan 85 had a higher yield, output value and the top and medium cigarette proportion with high brindle-resistant in field, but the stability is inferior to K326Yunyan 87 had the lowest yield among tested varieties but with high average price due to high rate of top and medium cigarette and also with good apparent quality and high oil content..The content of glutamic acid was the highest in tobacco leaves, the soil pH value and the potassium content were the main factors to affect the amino acid.leaf thickness has notable difference between the varieties,The soil pH and elevation height were the main factors affecting leaf thickness. The leaf special mass was different among varieties, the nitrogen content of soil and soil pH value were the main factors affecting the leaf special mass.In leaf maturity stage, chlorophyll contents of Yunyan85 are the highest, the gland hair density of K326 is the highest and the temperature and elevation height were the main factors to affect the tentacle density. There were obvious effect of fertilization dose on yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco. The optimization fertilizer dose was 60g per plant for K326 and 90g for Yunyan 85.The contents of total nitrogen and of chlorophyll were realized as the best indices to judge flue-cured tobacco leaf maturity.
