Phospholipids contents in leaves of 10 spices trees which grow in Northeast China were determined and compared by high performance liquid chromatography in three different seasons spring, summer and autumn.1,A simple, rapid and sensitive method for the determination of phospholipids content in leaves was established.Phospholipids was ultrasonically extracted with Folch solution at normal temperature for 60 min,and determined by HPLC.The phospholipids were separated on a Si 60 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5μm),using acetonitrile-methanol-85%phosphoric acid (130:370:1,V/V/V)as the mobile phase at flow rate 1.5 mL/min and detected at 207 nm.Three main kinds of phospholipids in plants phosphatidylchoine(PC),phosphatidylethanolamine(PE) and sphingomyelin,(SM)in leaves were determined.2,The phospholipids levels in leaves were differences in different species, and were realated to the seasons. There was no SM content in spring. The highest content of PC and PE was in leaves of Salix matsudana Koidz.,and the lowest was in Juglans mandshurica Maxim. In summer,PC contents were only found in Phellodendron amurense Rupr.,Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr.and Syringa reticulata Hara var.,there was no PC content in the other trees, or the PC content was outside the confine of HPLC determination.PE contents were highest in Picea koraiensis Nakai.,and lowest in Juglans mandshurica Maxim.,no content in Syringa reticulata Hara var..SM contents were highest in Salix matsudana Koidz.,and lowest in Picea koraiensis Nakai. In autumn, there was no SM content in leaves of Picea koraiensis Nakai..The highest contents of PC,PE and SM were in leaves of Salix matsudana Koidz.,the lowest PC contents were in Acer saccharum Marsh.,the lowest PE contents were in Pinus tabulaeformis Carr.,the lowest SM content were in Picea koraiensis Nakai..3,There were regular transformations of phospholipids contents in different seasons. There was little difference of PC contents between spring and autumn, but little content in summer,or the PC content was outside the range of HPLC determination in summer. The PE contents were increased by degrees during three seasons, except minority trees. There was no PE content of Syringa reticulata Hara var.in August. There was no SM content in June, the SM contents in autumn were higher then in summer, except minority trees.
