Goose is a kind of fowl mianly live on roughage which contains a large number of crude fibers.People do more and more study on dietary fiber recently and find function of dietary fiber should be evaluated scientificaly. It is necessary to study goose digestive characteristics on crude fiber of roughage and provide theoretical basis for development and utilization of roughage.Experiment 1:Effect of different sources dietary fiber on digestive physiology in JiLin White Goose.70 four-week JiLin White Goose(meat linebreeding) were selected as the experimental animal, corn straw and Leymus chinensis were the fiber sources respectively,35 in every group. Two kinds of compound fiber feed with equal content of energy and protein were selected and content of crude fiber was about 7.0%.There were seven-week experiment, comparison the kinetic variation of body weight,pH,serum biochemical indexes, digestive enzyme activities of different dietary fiber in different weeks.Result indicated:(1) The body weight gain crest-time of geese was 6 week with corn straw and Leymus ehinensis as dietary fiber respectively. There were significant influence in protein metabolism of 5,6 weeks geese.(2) There were significant influence in intestinal tract pH of corn straw and Chinese wildrye group for 5 and 6 weeks geese intestinal tract pH.pH 6.31~6.89 in duodenum,pH 6.29~7.04 in jejunum,pH 6.52~7.44 in ileum and pH 6.70~7.37 in cecum. (3) There was cellulolytic enzyme in cecum and enzyme activity was 0.35U/mL~0.53U/mL.There was no obvicious difference among effects of different fiber resources diets on cellulase activity(P>0.05).Experiment 2:Effect of different sources dietary fiber on caecum fermentation in JiLin White Goose. 50 ten-week JiLin White Goose(meat linebreeding) were selected as the experimental animal, corn straw and Leymus chinensis were the fiber sources respectively,25 in every group.Fermentation experiment in vitro to investigate capability of caecum microorganism digest and degrade dietary fiber with origin sample of roughage and their insolubility fiber as fermentation substrate respectively and caecum chymus of 10 weeks as bacterium source.Result indicated:(1) In vitro fermentation, the dietary fiber can be utilized and digested partly by the microbes from the cecum. There was strong regularity about pH and total reducing sugar concentration of fermentation system no matter fermentation substrate was original sample of roughage or NDF,ADF.(2) Artifical fermentation in vitro, when fermentation substrate were original samples of corn and Leymus chinensis, gas production in 24h was 18ml and 10ml respectively and dry matter disappearance rate was 27.64%and 22.18%respectively;When fermentation substrate was NDF,gas production in 24h was 7ml and 2.2ml respectively and dry matter disappearance rate was 8.70%and 4.23%,respectively;When fermentation substrate was ADF,gas production in 24h was 7ml and 2.2ml respectively and dry matter disappearance rate in 24h was 5.90%and 3.94%respectively;gas production and dry matter disappearance rate of corn straw group was significantly higher than these of Leymus chinensis group.(3)(Cellulose + Hemicellulose)/NDF×dry matter disappearance rate or Cellulose/ADF×dry matter disappearance rate can be technical index for evaluation of goose's roughage fiber quality.
