Study whose test material was zhengdan958 on effects of ecological factors on the growth and development of maize was carried out through multi-point joint experiment, different sowing dates in different points and density experiment in spring maize area of northeast China. Light and water demands for growth and development of maize were cleared. Combined with the ecological conditions of the various points in northeast China, stable and high-yielding regions of zhengdan958 were delineated, which provided a theoretical basis for the settlement of the issue that maize varieties were chaos, and miscellaneous in spring area of northeast China.1. Effects of ecological factors on the growth and development of maizeConclusion from multi-point joint experiment showed that numbers of days in various growth stages in different regions prolonged continuously with the continuous rise of latitude, however, numbers of days from silking to harvest shortened continuously, and all numbers of days had no significant change with longitude rised. Conclusion from different sowing dates in different points experiment showed that growth period of corn prolonged with postponement of sowing date.2. Effects of ecological factors on yield and yield components of maizeConclusion from multi-point joint experiment showed that yields and thousand kernel weights in different regions had significant difference that yields and thousand kernel weights lowered with latitude rised, and had no significant change with longitude rised. The major reason made yields and thousand kernel weights lowered was continuously reduced of accumulated temperature in maize grain-filling late leading by shortening of numbers of days from silking to harvest. 3. Effects of agronomic measures on yield of cornConclusion from different sowing dates in different points experiment showed that changes in accumulated temperature in maize growth period leading by difference of sowing date resulted in differences of the formation of production. The most appropriate sowing date of zhengdan958 was between April 25 and May 5 in spring maize area of northeast China according to the research. Conclusion from density experiment in Gongzhuling showed that light transmittance of maize groups leading by difference of plant density had significant difference and difference on photosynthetically active radiation affect the formation of maize production, so that the most appropriate plant density of zhengdan958 in spring maize area of northeast China was between 52500-67500 plants/ ha.4. Stable and high-yielding regional delineation of zhengdan958 in spring maize area of northeast ChinaComparative research in different regions showed that production rate in different regions had significant difference compared with varieties around the spring maize area of northeast China, the production rate gradually reduced compared with the CK along with latitude rises, the yield of Zhengdan 958 was quiet compared with the CK at N 45°, so that N 45°was considered to be the safe planting line in spring maize area of northeast China.According to the principle takeing full advantage of heat resources, the spring maize area of northeast China could be divided into appropriate area, suitable area and not suitable area because of≥10°C accumulated temperature that Zhengdan 958 could get normal physiologically mature was 2904.7℃? d.
