Flowing with risk of energy resource for humanity facing exhaustion and challenge of agricultural sustainable development, in China, agriculture is changing from extensive and traditional management to modern and intensive, also change of market and times for connotation of requirement and demand of agricultural equipment, what makes agricultural equipment toward to maximization, standardization, seriation and precision. A series of policies and regulations was promulgated for agricultural development by China, also demand-pulled, benefit drive, policy-promoted and mechanism drive, all promoted a rapid, healthy and stable development of Chinese agricultural equipment, especially growth momentum of great horsepower tractor and outfitting tools is more stronger.By several years' research, what thick-flat planting soybean technology has significant benefit of yield had been asserted exactly as the core of shortening ridge and adding rows. Now, equipment of transitional type is mostly used on thick-flat seeding. There is not special theoretical research and design link. Optimum agronomic requirement cannot be realized completely. Among them the frame of seeder on thick-flat planting is more obviouser. It can't give full play to advantage of yield. Ability of task in high speed is required higher and higher for modern mechanization task. The corresponding theory and structure form both need to be modified or reestablished.At present, there generally exist problem of being mostly transitional products, lack of special design process and practical test, effect not as ideal as expected, being unable to sufficiently embody advantage of large scale machine set, demand of market urgently, on large and middle scale equipment, especially frame.There generally exist fool, big, thick and thickheaded phenomenon.With the object of frame of large suspend-type precision seeder on thick-flat planting soybean, with the agronomical characters of thick-flat planting and the method of FEM as the theoretical foundation and analysis methods, this paper carries out design and optimized research for the frame and key component by using parametric and FEA function of CATIA.The frame is main structure of seeder, and also the primary holding-force. In the process of task and suspended transportation, the frame mechanism appears cracked, bended or overstepping its intensity and rigidity because it always bears various load. The security of seeding task will be directly affected by the demand of the frame's intensity and rigidity. It is very important for improving the structure of the frame if the magnitude of stress, strain and the distribution of intensity, rigidity in the process of bearing are ail-rightly and entirely studied and the feeble region and superfluous parts are found, and then the optimized design and research of frame's 3D model and real prototype is carried out.The works have been done as follows:1. Frame of large hydraulic cylinder suspended-type precision seeder as segmentation profile modeling as characteristic was researched and designed.2. 3D solid model was built by using CATIA, FEA was made for 3D solid model. Analytical data of frame on dangerous operating condition was obtained.3. Based on analytical data, optimum research was carried out for frame of large suspended-type precision seeder on thick-flat planting soybean. Optimum conclusion was proposed, and models were optimized.The method of FEM was firstly applied to aeronautical engineering. Because of effectiveness, it was rapidly generalized and applied to structural analysis of mechanical engineering. And the amazing result has been yield. ANSYS and other commonly used FEA software are often used in the FEA, however, CATIA is less used, and it is especially least used in the agricultural machine. So this paper makes a good try.
