With the abroad application of sexed semen, it is necessary to compare its pregnancy rate with the routine semen's and to search the rational procedures to increase the yield of progeny, and thus to make a accurate appraisal to the practical value of sexed semen. In this study, we investigated the effects of sperm, technical level of the technician and breeding conditions of dairy cow on pregnancy rates of sexed semen. The results shows that, pregnancy rates of sexed sperm separated from different bull were different; pregnancy rates were positive correlations to the time of sexed semen life and insemination site; When the cow were inseminated in 18-24 hour after estrus, pregnancy rates was higher than that was inseminated in 8-12 hour after estrus; There were different pregnancy rates in different dairy farms as well as the cows from primiparous and multiparous. The feeding management of the cows and breeding conditions were also the important agents that affects pregnancy rate. In conclusion, improve the technique of artificial insemination, the sexed semen can large scale applied because there was no difference to routine semen.
