Comminution machine have wide application in mine, metallurgy, cereal and oil food processing, feed processing, etc. However, the results and conclusions from researchers on comminution machine structure and main inside parts shows that there is no definite theory that allows people to calculate and get optimal chamber and main part of comminution machine. This is especially true for the dimensions, structures and energy consumption of easily wear parts such as hammers, as there is no simple way of having them calculated and designed and get maximal comminution efficiency with lowest energy consumption. Consequently, for comminution machine newly designed, it is necessary to firstly find its advantages and disadvantages by testing, and then to have its structures optimized with the aid of classic energy assumption and analogical design theories, to get a type of the machine with optimal comprehensive performances. Therefore, for any new type of comminution machine, it is essential and meaningful to have it deeply analyzed and studied.The influence of the three dimensions, variation and arrangement of two different thicknesses hammers in the same machine on the comminution efficiency and energy consumption has been tested. During studding the influence of the variation of the three hammer dimensions on performance in efficiency and energy consumption, both Single factor test and Complex factors tests have be carried out. By a series of testing investigation, get the following main conclusions:1. In view of the influence of the three hammer dimensions on commicution efficiency, they all showed their own optimal testing data, with the hammer thickness having maximal influence.2. Among the effects of combinational assembling of with difference hammers, while the arrangement of two types hammer different in thickness showed more commimution and energy efficiency than that of hammer arrangement with identical thickness. of hammers, the thinner hammers concentrated in middle zone behaved better results in comparing the arrangements of thicker hammers built up in one zone and the thinner ones in another zone. There was not significant difference of effect between even arrangement of thick and thin hammers and that of different thickness hammer arranged in different zones.3. It is known from the testing results that electricity consumption was almost inversely proportional to the efficiency of production, that is: the higher in production, the lower in electricity consumption.
