The study sustained by"Improving the rural livelihoods of Inner Mongolian sheep herders through facilitation their adoption of improved livestock production grasslands management systems",based on the base data ,through the Australia forage and animal balance model (Stageâ… ),pasture system optimize model(Stageâ…¡) ,we elicit that 2.375sheep/hm2 is the best stocking rate for Taipusi banner,exceed this stocking rate,herders'intake will decrease.In order to test the model result,we design 5stocking-rates,A:0.5sheep/hm2,B:1.125sheep/hm2,C:1.75sheep/hm2,D:2.375sheep/hm2,E:3 sheep/hm2,and then design a collation area(CK), conduct the study of vegetation and soil characteristics under different stocking rates, through these to find the most proper stocking rate, in order to decrease the grassland degradation, increase the herders'income, improve the deveopment of stock raising and grassland reasonable utilize.The mostly result is :1.The analysis result of community characterisitics indicate that exceed the 1.75sheep/hm2, the density,cover of vegetation community begin to decrease; in September, on the stocking rate 1.125sheep/hm2 and 1.75sheep/hm2 , the height of Stipa krylovii reach to 49.02cm and 45.88cm, exceed 1.75sheep/hm2, the height of Stipa krylovii began to decrease significantly.2. The analysis result of important value indicate that when reach 1.75sheep/hm2 in September , the IV begin to decrease(IV is 33.3); the net primary production first increase and than decrease with the stocking rate increased, and at 1.75sheep/hm2 will reach the biggest value, 298.69g/m2, the 1.125sheep/hm2 and 1.75sheep/hm2 have no notability difference(p>0.05).3. About the soil moisture, 1.125sheep/hm2 and 1.75sheep/hm2 have no notability difference in every soil layer(p>0.05). On 0-5cm layer,begin with July, soil bulk begin increase with the stocking rate increased. The influence of short term of grazing to soil moisture and bulk mainly occur at 0-10cm soil layer.4. The test up to September, the sheep bodyweight in September reached 51.53kg in 1.75sheep/hm2 plot, 1.125sheep/hm2 has the biggest sheep weight gain daily value 146.875g/d/sheep.5. Through the unit sheep weight gain, grass aboveground biomass, most aboveground net primary production,and Correlative degree we know that the best stocking rate for local is between 1.125sheep/hm2 and 1.75sheep/hm2. This result is consistent to the model result,so we elicit that the best stocking rate of local is between1.125sheep/hm2 and 1.75sheep/hm2.
