Androgen is a essential element to maintain normal male development, differentiation and function . The male hormone androgen receptor plays the roles of male hormone androgen. Since the androgen receptor discoveried , because of its low content of target tissues, and susceptible to protease degradation characteristics, leading to its research lagging behind. Recently, it was discovered that many human diseases are associated with androgen receptors, so we increased the intensity of it , and androgen receptor was recognized by leaps and bounds, but such studies have been focused mainly on human beings themselves, towards the animals androgen receptor has yet to be carried out. Kinds of bull semen quality and selection of cattle breeding is the most basic measure of one of its direct impact on the quality of cow pregnancy rate, and indirectly impacting on the efficiency of production. Therefore, this research of androgen receptor in the subject for the study of Changchun City, Jilin Province, cattle breeding centers provide 55 kinds of bulls as the research object, we use the polymerase chain reaction - single strand conformation polymorphism (polymerase chain reaction-Single - Strand Conformation Polymorphism, PCR-SSCP) technology in order to find whether the androgen receptor gene have single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), and to correlate the quality and semen analysising , which purpose is to providing foundation of mocular biology for breeding selection. The results show that: The 5 'regulatory region of AR gene have been detecting the genetic polymorphism; the sequencing results show that the T1575G mutation occurred, then we use least-squares analysis to analyze the genotype and semen quality .For this group, different genotypes and semen quality index - sperm density have a significant correlation (P = 0.025); while in semen quality traits - a ratio of fresh semen abnormal sperm, the two kinds of genotypes are varied significantly. Thus for the AB genotype, those indicators of semen intact acrosome, acrosome integrity rate of fresh semen, fresh sperm live sperm rate, sperm density, fresh sperm vitality and semen vitality are lower than the AA genotype; Contrary, some indicators such as semen abnormal sperm rate, abnormal sperm rate of fresh semen, frozen semen percentage of live sperm, ejaculate volume are higher than the AA genotype. It coult be preliminarily deduced that ARgene were probably major genes or QTL linked genes which associated with semen quality traits in bulls.
