In this research, IGF2 gene and IGF2R gene were selected as candidate genes affecting correlate traits in Jinghai yellow chicken. PCR-SSCP and DNA sequencing were used to detect the SNPs in candidate genes in order to research the correlation between different genotypes and the productive traits.1. According to the sequence of IGF2 gene, seven primers were designed and six mutations (G64A, C173A, G6707C, T7506C, G7641A, and G8120A) were found for primers P1, P2, P3, P5 and P7. According to the sequence of IGF2R gene, seven primers were designed. Three genotypes were found for primer R6 of the exon 4, and the mutation T15262A was detected.2. The mutations were moderately polymorphics except the P3 loci. Statistic results showed that the loci P1 and P2 were in Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium status (HWE). The loci P3, P5, P7 and R6 deviated from Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium status.3. The Least Square Means analysis showed C2C2 had higher 12-week-weight and 16-week-weight than C1C2 (P<0.01). D1D2 had higher 4-week-weight than D1D1 (P<0.05) and also had higher 12-week-weight than D1D1 (P<0.01). E1E2 had higher 12-week-weight than E1E1 (P<0.05), while the difference of the egg shape index between E1E1 and E1E2 was significant (P<0.01). For locus R6 of the IGF2R gene, G1G2 had higher eggshell strength than G2G2 (P<0.05) .4. The analysis of haplotype combinations showed that P2, P5, P7 had some linkage but not at the strong linkage disequilibrium. The analysis between com-genotypes and production performance showed that B1B2/D1D2/E1E2 and B1B2/D1D2/E1E1 had the high production performance.
