In order to explore the lactic acid bacteria having effect on banana stems and leaves silages characteristics, according to the criteria and description of Berge's manual of systematic bacteriology and sequence alignment of 16SrRNA gen, in this experiment,6 strains of lactic acid bacteria were isolated from the banana stems and leaves of different origin.2 strains were defined as Lactobacillus plantarum, another 4 strains were defined as Lactobacillus brevis, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus casei and Enterococcus gallinarum, the acid-production rate of the 6 strains was determined respectively, then found that the acid-production rate of Lactobacillus plantarum(HN1) was fastest, so this train was used to ferment the banana stems and leaves silages in laboratory. In this experiment, forage was assigned to four treatments:no additive(â… ), 5%molasses(â…¡), J1 (â…¢) and HN1 (â…£). By comparing and research, the results show that treatment of J1 (â…¢) and HN1 (â…£)'s pH decreased fast and the cell counts of lactic acid bacteria increased fast compared with the control, inhibited activities of Aerobic bacteria and yeasts had better than control, the pH of HN1 (â…£) is 3.57, it is the best of all. The results of chemical analysis indicated the content of lactic acid, acetic acid, dry matter and crude protein of all silages treated with LAB increased significantly in contrast to control (p<0.05), and the content of ammonia nitrogen and acid detergent fiber decreased significantly in contrast to control (p<0.05), the effect of LAB on tannin and ash of silages were not remarkable. In comparision to control, the silage incubated with molasses(â…¡) improved significantly, the content of lactic acid, monoprop, ammonia nitrogen and ash were significantly increase, however, the content of dry matter, crude protein, acid detergent fiber and tannin were significantly decrease. The silage quality of HN1 (â…£) groups was better than the treatment of J1 (â…¢).All of the above, the quality of banana stems and leaves silages was improved significantly with the contribution Lactobacillus plantarum(HN1) which separated from banana stems and leaves.
