Toxicodendron vernicifluum (Stokes) F. A. Barkley is a deciduous tree which attributing Anacardiaceae Toxicodendron. Now the research in it's structure, raw lacquer composition has been reported, but comparative study between varieties of Toxicodendron vernicifluum (Stokes) F. A. Barkley in Shanxi in morpha,tree bark,raw lacquer composition and output have not been reported. In this thesis, observational method and paraffin section technique were used to analyse the intraspecific differences in four kinds of Toxicodendron vernicifluum varieties, in order to quickly and accurately distinguish them, also do some work in high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) of raw lacquer and output from different varieties.It can be provided basis for distinguishing varieties and to sift the better out.1. The basic structure of bark is identical between four varieties, the whole secondary phloem is make up sieve tubes, companion cell, parenchyma, stone cells,laticiferous canal and ray.they have the same arrangement.Laticiferous canal scatters between two rays.Stone cells intersperse random in non-function phloem.The deviations of bark structure are following aspects:diamet-er of the sieve tubes, the number and area of laticiferous canal and stone cells per mm2, the ratio between functional phloem thickness and the non. These traits can be used as separation and identification of Toxicodendron vernicifluum varieties indicators based on.2. Four varieties diference in morpha shows following:bark height, leaflet amount, the bank clothing hair of rachis and venation, shape and arrangement of lenticel,to branching pattern, rachis and leafstalk,s colour and so on. Among them, bark height, leaflet amount, the bank clothing hair of rachis and venation between varieties have large significant difference, shape and arrangement of lenticel significant difference,but the latter three have not significant difference.3. Urushiol of raw lacquer from four varieties has been comparative studied by HPLC.The result shows following:we have got nine compound, of which five are known compounds. They accounted for 98% of the total content, during which triene urushiol percentage composition is 94.16%, diene urushiol is 0.056%, monoene urushiol is 5.28%.4. We did significant difference analysis between quantitative data of bark structure charact-eristic marks and known urushiol of the law lacquer composition among four varieties. The results show that bark structure significant variation is diameter of the sieve tubes, the number and area of laticiferous canal and stone cells per mm2, the ratio between functional phloem thickness and the non, chemical composition of raw lacquer are significant differences among triene,diene and monoene urushiol.5.We have got HPLC fingerprint electropherogram from four varieties. By analyzing, as it turned out, they have the same main chemical composition and the average similarity is 0.999. But there has a big difference in relative content of main chemical composition between varieties.The seven overlapping peak content of cluster analysis of four varieties, It turned out that when connection coefficients is 697129.8 clustered into a group of Dahongpao and Gaobachi. When connection coefficients is 6360646 clustered into a group of all. But it less 697129 all will be divided.
