Forests are the main terrestrial ecosystems, but also structure the most complex and most biologically diverse natural ecosystems.In number, forest ecosystem is the largest nature reserve.This type of forest ecosystems for nature reserves in China, combined with "Vegetation of China" and " Vegetation Atlas of China" data, using geographic information system, based on classification of vegetation ecology principles.Nature Reserve status for China and forest ecosystem nature reserves protected status of the data,vacancy analysis conducted, and puts forward a reasonable nature reserves of forest ecosystems spatial layout of research programs.For our region in large-scale nature reserves in the rational distribution of forest ecosystems to provide theoretical and methodological reference.The main conclusions are:(1) Forest ecosystem in the forest vegetation has not been fully protected under:in the 224 class of forest ecosystems,198 types of protection by the National Nature Reserve,88.4% of the total; unprotected National Forest nature reserves of 26,11.6% of the total.(2) Duplication:5 class forest ecosystem built more than 10 national nature reserves, including pine, Huashan pine forest, pine, fir and oak forests of Mongolia;(3) Protection of forest ecosystems uneven spatial distribution:Priority conservation area has built 80 nature reserves of national forest, national forest types account for more than half of the total number of protected areas;(4) Vacancy analysis:through the planning,proposal to upgrade the national forest ecosystem nature reserves 23, integrating 4,6 new forest nature reserves, to achieve effective protection of forest ecosystems purpose.
