As an important part of the urban green space landscape, the urban green corridors have attracted many researchers'attentions and became an important research project for the urban city planning. A perfect green corridor network will not only improve the urban ecological environment, but also provide urban residents a good environment for leisure and recreation activities.First, this paper is a study about the basic theory of urban green corridors, including the green corridor's conception, classification, structure, function, and types of spatial distribution patterns. Secondly, expound on the methods of urban green corridor's actual analysis and planning, which consists of choosing the appropriate research scales, the extraction method of urban green corridors, selecting the related corridors'indexes, confirming the targets of planning, determining the project's principles and the correct contents. This paper applies the analyses and planning methods with the case of Fuzhou city. Based on the remote sensing data, combined with relevant information from history data and field surveys, it analyzes the landscape patterns of urban green corridor, including corridor's forms, network, the relationship between green corridors and urban green focuses, and corridor's internal structure. The paper point out the spatial distribution pattern of green corridor networks in Fuzhou, and puts forward the problems and deficiencies. The deficiencies include the green corridor's uneven distribution between each district, and especially the lack of green belts and the narrow width of green corridors is difficult to form satisfactory inside environments. The building ratio of green corridors is also unsatisfactory. In addition, there is low connectivity in the entire green corridor network, also the lack of circuit caused by many breaks. Some of the urban"green focus areas"are not even connected at all. The internal make-up constituting the green corridors, which includes level structures, vertical structures, and different species of plants, is incongruous.Considering the deficiencies of green corridors'actuality, determined by the results of questionnaire survey, the planning targets of Fuzhou's green corridors can be confirmed, which are as follows: building a reasonable green network that homogenously connects each urban green focus, to conserve but also improve the urban biodiversity; controlling excessive urban growth, and improving the urban microclimate; reducing the"heat island effect"; beautifying the urban landscapes, and providing open spaces for recreational activities. Finally this paper puts forth an overall development plan for Fuzhou's urban green corridors, the layout of a"one axis- three ring- five horizontal- six vertical". In order to improve urban microclimate, this paper offers a proposal that the"west-east"green corridors that parallel the dominant wind direction of Fuzhou should be the key of this construction project. For optimizing the internal structure of urban green corridors, this paper puts forward the following suggestions: building a natural revetment to create the riparian buffer zones with well ecological functions; constructing green belts with waterfront parks, and focus on the diversity of plant species, the combination of tree, shrub and fodder grass; setting a reasonable width and structure according to green corridors'different functions and environments; creating a variety of urban landscape by using different kinds of plants; the deposition of green dividing stripes should adapt to the local condition.
