In order to observe the prophylactic effect of complex traditional Chinese medicine "Qin Kang San" on ducks artificial infected by Duck hepatitis virus (DHV), the anti-virus experiments in vitro and prophylactic trial in vivo of duck embryos were hold respectively.48 nine-ten days old duck embryos were randomLy grouped into 6:tranditional Chinese medicine precaution group(Low dosage, middle dosage, high dosage,extra high dosage), negative control, positive control (8 duck embryos per group). In the tranditional Chinese medicine precaution groups, allantoic cavity of ever duck embryos was injected into 0.1mL medicine extract with different dilution as 0.25g/mL,0.5g/mL,1g/mL,2g/mL.1 hours later, 0.1mL Duck hepatitis virus were inoculated, while 0.2mL physiological saline in negative control group and 0.1mL dilution of DHV100 times EID50 in positive control group. Then the depressant effect of complex traditional Chinese medicine on ducks infected by DHV was observed.400 three days old duckling (without inoculated by DHV vaccine) were randomLy grouped into 5:negative control group (non-conteracting toxic substances+basal diet),positive control group (conteracting toxic substances+basal diet), positive control group also with basal diet but conteracting toxic substances, Low dosage group (conteracting toxic substances+basal diet+0.5%"Qin Kang San"),middle dosage group (conteracting toxic substances+basal diet+1%"Qin Kang San"),high dosage group (conteracting toxic substances+basal diet+2%"Qin Kang San") Low dosage group was dealed the same as positive control group except adding 0.5% "Qin Kang San" while 1% "in middle group and 2% in high group.8 repetitions per group(3 repetitions in 8 were used to observe mortality),10 ducks per repetition.5 day old, the ducks were persistently feed with tranditional Chinese medicine diet for 5 days to 10 day old. Then inoculate DHV. The death were observed and recorded daily; The following data such as immune organ index, serum liver function index, DHV antibody titer assay were recorded respectively in the day after feeding with medicine, the lth day and 5th day, different times after inoculated by DHV. 1.In the prophylactic trial in vivo of duck embryos, livability of duck embryos in the tranditional Chinese medicine precaution group(0.25g/mL,0.5g/mL,1g/mL,2g/mL) were 25%,37.5%,100%,87.5%.Negative were 100% and duck embryos in positive group were died in 96h. It showed that "Qin Kang San" has the obvious effect on anti-DHV 1 g/mL was the best dosage.2. Death rate in the tranditional Chinese medicine precaution group with 0.5%,1%,2% were 56.7%,30%,26.7%. Death rate was 0 in negative control group while 100% death rate in positive control group. It showed that "Qin Kang San" has the distinct precaution to the DHV in the ducks by artificial infection. It could degrade the mortality obviously.1% and 2% was the best dosage.3. "Qin Kang San" could prevent effectively the damage of DHV to duck immune organ such as thoracic gland, Spleen and bursa of fabricius. It could also upgrade the immune organ index. With the increase in traditional Chinese medicine concentration to increase the role of immune organ index significantly, showing a certain degree of dose-effect relationship.1% and 2% were the best dosage.4. "Qin Kang San" could prevent effectively the damage of DHV to duck liver function. Significantly increase serum TP,ALB,GLB content, decreased AST, ALT, ALP, TBIL content. With the increase in traditional Chinese medicine concentration to increase the role of immune organ index significantly, showing a certain degree of dose-effect relationship.2% was the best dosage.5. "Qin Kang San" could improve DHV antibody levels. With the increase in traditional Chinese medicine concentration to increase the role of immune organ index significantly, showing a certain degree of dose-effect relationship.1% and 2% were the best dosage.In summary,"Qin Kang San" could prevent effectively the damage of DHV to duck liver function,increase immune organ index, improve DHV antibody levels. To provide practical guidance for clinical use.
