Asarum sieboldii have multifaceted role in anti-inflammatory and analgesic, increasing coronary blood flow, reducing the vascular resistance , suppressing the central nervous system. This paper is to analyze the active ingredients of Asarum sieboldii (Methyleugenol, Elemicin, and Safrole) of 29 sample sites in 9 province and physico-chemical properties of soils in which the plant grows and the investigation between physico-chemical properties of soils and the active ingredients of the plant was conducted using regression analysis, principal component analysis, and clustering analysis. These findings are helpful to identification of Asarum sieboldii, breeding and protection of excellent germplasm resources, and GAP production. The analysis results of physico-chemical properties of soils showed that: all soils are all acidic, values of EC (Electrical conductivity) and content of OM (Organic matter) is higher; there are five types of soil texture: clay loam soil, silty clay loam, silty loam, loam, and sandy clay loam (content of clay showed that the soil had good retention capacity for water and fertilizer); the content of ahN (Alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen), avP (Available phosphorus), and avK (Available potassium) still meet the needs of plant growth; values of CEC (Cation exchange capacity) showed that the soils had a moderate retention capacity for water and fertilizer. The analysis results of the active ingredients of the plant showed that: the content of safrole and elemicin had significant differences; the content of methyleugenol had no significant differences; the content of methyleugenol is the highest in Shaanxi and the content of elemicin and safrole are the highest in Sichuan. The average active ingredients of the plant was the highest in Sichuan and the following were Shaanxi, Henan, Hunan, Anhui, Hubei, Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangxi. It showed that the accumulation of the effective ingredients was closely related with the origin. The results of correlation analysis showed that: the content of methyleugenol had a highly significant positive correlation with silt in soils, ahN and avK and had a negative correlation with sand in soils; the content of elemicin had a significant positive correlation with silt in soils and had a significant negative correlation with sand in soils; the content of saforle had a significant positive correlation with silt in soils and had a significant negative correlation with clay in soils. The PCA (Principal component analysis) divided the 10 variables of physico-chemical properties of soils into three principal components. The first principal component which was related to nutrients of soil was ahN, avK, OM and variance was 55.69%; The second which was related to the chemical properties of soils was EC, CEC and variance was 21.13%; The third which was related to the physical properties of soils was sand and silt and variance was 8.36%. It showed that ahN, avK and OM played an important role in accumulation of the active ingredients of the plant. The CA (Cluster analysis) divided sample into four categories. The first category includes Shaanxi and Sichuan; The second includes Henan, Hunan, Anhui; The third includes Hubei and Shandong; The fourth includes Zhengjiang and Jiangxi. These groups were consistent to the location of sample points. The cluster analysis of ahN, avK, and OM were similar to the cluster analysis of the active ingredients, which was consistent to the.All the results of the multivariate analysis showed that: dominant factor which affected the quality of the plant were ahN, avK, and OM. These findings are helpful to the cultivation, breeding, improvement and industrialized production of the plant.
