Virtual Crops is based on characteristics of shapes and structure of the crops, combined with the modeling and visualization technology of graphics and images, and shows the growth status of crops by the method of visual and intuitionistic display on the computer. It is helpful to promote people to learn about the features of crops plant and their organ structures as well as in their growth, it can also provide the theories and technique's support for analyzing the relationship between functions and structures of its, designing ideal plant and improving yield of per unit area. This paper used method of analysis model and modeling, combined with morphology characteristic of rice, modeling of three-dimensional geometry model for rice organ, and furthermore, the use of X3D virtual reality technology, established the visualization of rice organ, laid the foundation for digital and visual Rice system.To establish the research on the three-dimensional modeling and visualization, the thesis focuses on the non-rigid structure of crops, such as super rice's leaf in their tillering stage. Main contents are as follows:1. Base on analyzed the features of super rice's leaf shape and control points data of lobate, researched calculate edge figures points of super rice leaf by method of Cardinal spline curve interpolation algorithm, and put forward and established data table according to the sequence of these data which are showed in vector forms for attributes of IndexedFaceSet nodes, and finally come to the method model describes leaf edges characteristics.2. Researched the method of using equation of three-dimensional curve data of leaves to realize the conversion between three-dimensional coordinate which can describe the spatial curve effect of leaves and virtualize three-dimensional model of rice leaves with natural bending which are complied to biological rules.3. Explored and put forward the graphics virtualization theories of three-dimensional geometry model, three-dimensional modeling and visualization principles of X3D, method of Cardinal algorithm written in JAVA and exchanges data with SAI, finally, established the modeling of super rice's leaf and three-dimensional visualization of its models.The scheme provided by this thesis can well present the edge features of plant leaf belonging to the family gramineae, and thus narrow the relevant factors to leaves length and width, which can show good universal property in three-dimensional visualization of leaf.
