This study was to select the best Chinese herbal medicine prescriptions on anti-heat stress of dairy cows firstly. And on this basis, adding three auxiliary components to form different composite anti-heat stress additives, to compare the application effects and its mechanism by animal experiments. Test is divided into two part, the main contents are as follows:Test 1:Studies on the effects of Chinese herbal medicine addictives on anti-heat stress of dairy cattleThirty six healthy milk cows in the middle-later postpartum were selected according to the similar principles in weight, parity, lactation, milk yield, and divided into 3 groups:control group, groupâ… and groupâ…¡. The control group fed the diet, the experimental group were added anti-heat stress Chinese herbal medicineâ… andâ…¡,in order to probe the effects of Chinese herbal medicine on dairy performance and ease the impact of clinical symptoms in heat stress period. A trial period was 37 days, which pre-trial period was 7 days. The results showed that two Chinese herbal medicine prescriptions can improve production performance of dairy cows in heat stress period. Compared with the control group, the daily milk yield of groupâ… andâ…¡increased by 8.17% and 10.32%,4% of the standardized milk were increased by 15.69%(P<0.05)and 13.06%;milk components on milk fat and dry matter content of group I significantly improved, increased by 13.23%(P<0.05)and 4.83% compared with the control group.During the trial period, the minimum respiratory rate was in groupâ… ,heart rate of groupâ…¡was significantly lower than the control group and groupâ… (P<0.05),Which showed that Chinese Herbal Medicine may alleviate the clinical symptoms of heat stress, relieve physical symptoms, the effects in the application of groupâ… was superior than groupâ…¡. Test 2:Studies on the effects of Chinese herbal medicine-based anti-heat stress additives on production performance, physiological and biochemical of dairy cattleTo investigate the effect of complex additives on anti-heat stress of dairy cattle, the herbs as the main raw material, added buffer, probiotics, and GABA respectively. According to the similar principles in varieties, milk yield, parity, lactation, body condition score and body weight,40 healthy lactating Holstein cows were selected, using single factor completely randomized design, divided into five groups:control group, groupâ… (herbs), groupâ…¡(herbs+buffer), groupâ…¢(herbs+ probiotics), groupâ…£(herbs+ GABA).The experiment results were compared by measuring production performance, physiological signs and contents of hormone and enzyme in serum.A trial period was 35 days, which pre-trial period was 7 days and in test period was 4 weeks. The main results were as follows:(1)Production performance, from the 3rd week, the experimental groups produced more milk than the control group.During the 3rd week, the milk yield of groupâ…¢and IV was increased by 10.47% and 9.96% compared with the control group, significantly different(P<0.05),and that of groupâ…¢andâ…£were increased by 10.02% and 8.83% during the 4th week. From the whole average milk yield,â…£group>â…¢group>â… group>â…¡group> control group, whereby groupâ…¢andâ…£were significantly increased (P<0.05)by 6.78% and 6.94%, respectively 1.25kg and 1.28kg.However, the milk composition of experimental groups was not significantly changed. (2)Physical constants, the rectal temperature, respiratory rate and heart rate on average of experimental groups were all lower than that of control group. The three indicators of groupâ…¡were the lowest, which showed that herbal + buffer can lessen the stress on the physiological changes of dairy cows best.(3), Serum biochemical signs, T3 concentrations of experimental groups were all higher than that of control group, in which groupâ…¡increased by 37.33%, significantly different(P<0.05)from control group.T4 concentration of groupâ… ,groupâ…¡and groupâ…£significantly higher than that of control group and before the experiment. While Cor concentrations, ACTH levels, as well as IL-2 concentrations of experimental groups were lower than those of control group, which ACTH concentrations of groupâ… were significantly lower (P<0.05).The concentrations of CK, ALP and AST levels in serum of experimental groups were lower than the control group, while ALT levels were higher, indicating that Chinese herbal medicine as the main raw material to anti-heat stress additives can improve cow hormone, enzyme and immune factor to enhance the production performance in heat stress period.
