With the social economic development and population growth, food has become a hot issue of global concern. Rice is one of the most important three food crops in the world, and nearly half population of the world takes the rice as food. China has the most population in the world, and the importance of the rice is very obvious in elimination starvation. Researching the Spatial and Temporal pattern change in rice production, has the great significance for stabilizing rice production and promoting the increase.Based on the research results at home and abroad, combining the GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and the model of the Anusplin to interpolate, the paper obtains the annual daily maximum temperature, minimum temperature, precipitation, radiation meteorological factors from 1980 to 2007 throughout the country, using the GIS spatial data processing capability and Visusl Basic programming to integrate the interpolation result, obtains the different times integration results of the various meteorological elements of the same location. Using the GIS spatial data processing capability, the paper processes space soil data and space agriculture data, builds the various spaces database; and on this basis, combining the GIS and the DSSAT model, simulates the annual rice yield from 1980 to 2007 throughout the country, and referening domestic and foreign experts' research ideas, divides rice yield into three ages to analysis. The thesis is divided into introduction, overview of the rice area and the related models, simulation of temporal and spatial patterns of the rice yield, analysis of temporal and spatial patterns change of the rice yield, the impact factors analysis, and the conclusion; emphases on analysis of temporal and spatial patterns change of the rice yield. Through researches we can see that in the 1980's, 1990's, and 2000 to 2007, rice yield from increase to reduce, the overall trend is increasing. For the different rice regions, the yangtze river basin southern rice area and the yangtze river basin northern rice area are the two most important rice areas, these two rice areas' rice yield percents are large in the all country rice production. In different characteristic regions, for the different increased-decreased state areas, the from increase to decrease area widely distributed, and compared to other areas, this area' rice yield percent is the largest in the country, and this area is a potential region to increase rice yield, invests smaller, but profits bigger. For the rice yield different change range areas, the distribution of rice yield stability area most extensive. Compared to the fluctuate area and the surge area, this area is smaller fluctuation, so this area has an important role in maintaining the national rice production. For better grasp of trends in rice production, the paper has also abtained the rice yield incremental regions cartograph and the rice yield reductive regions cartograph at different times, to analyse the distribution and to research the ruler of temporal and spatial patterns change.Analyzed the impacts of factors on different regions, we can see that the elevation, precipitation, temperature,≥10℃accumulated temperature and other factors has an important impact on rice yield. Besides, take changes of 2000 to 2007 rice area as an example, analyzed the impacts of the changes of rice area on the changes of rice production specification that the changes of rice area has an important direct influence on the fluctuation of rice production. Combining the analysis of temporal and spatial patterns change of the rice yield we can see that to make sure maintain rice production stability and promote growth, we should adopt different measures for different regions.
