Agapanthus is a perennial flowers for the country of origin in South Africa which introducted in ShangHai. A suitable breeding has cultivated varieties, flowering in Shanghai on June to August, regulation it can make them more widely applied in the flowers market.Agapanthus praecox ssp. orientalis'Big Blue' as the test material in this study. In different regulation as different photoperiod, different fertilizers, different plant growth regulators on Agapanthus praecox ssp. orientalis'Big Blue'. Observed the test material which has been treated, recorded its flowering characteristic of the change and determined its physiological indicators. Analysis of the flowering of the change reason. The major results are as follows:1. Different photoperiod treatment:treatment plant under short day 8 hours of light, plants under long-day light treatment for 14 hours. Result:Agapanthus praecox ssp. orientalis'Big Blue'is the facultative short day plant. the short day treatment to promote flowering, the long-day treatment to inhibit flowering. the short day treatment made the Agapanthus flowering early, improved the flowering characteristic and good; the long day treatment made its flowering delay 26 days on an average, decreased the flowering characteristic and poor ornamental. Photoperiod treatment plants flowering timeand flowering rate decreased.2. Different fertilizers treatment:N, P and K for the three elements, do three orthogonal design. Different ratio of fertilizers treatment effects on flowering the Agapanthus are different. When N, P and K moore concentration ratio is (20:10:5) the Agapanthus flowering promoted which has the longest flowering period, high and thick scape, inflorescence fullness, ornamenta well. When N, P and K moore concentration ratio is (20:5:5) the Agapanthus flowering delayed which has the shorter flowering period, dwarfed scape, inflorescence fullness, ornamenta welll. P of low content, fast flowering process, N of high content slowly flowering process. When N, P and K moore concentration ratio is (10:15:15) flowering rate is 100%. When N, P and K moore concentration ratio is (20:15:15) may produce toxins, deal with the short flowering period, flowering rate.3. Different gibberellin (GA) treatment:four concentration of GA can be divided into two phases spraying agapanthus.50mg/L treatment promote flowering, to extend the flowering period duration, but the flowering rate decreased.200mg/L treatment delay flowering and shorten the flower, delayed flowering rates 400mg/L treatment to promote the role of performance again. Second spraying the same trend GA treatment, different changes than a small increase spraying GA.4. Different plant growth retardants:agents for the treatment of paclobutrazol (PP333) has 5 gradient, CCC has 3 gradient, B9 has 3 gradient. Observations are as follows:the most obvious of the inhibition on the Agapanthus which treated after the appropriate concentration of PP333, delay flowering date, to extend the flowering period of time; CCC treatment promoted the most obvious, to advance the date of Agapanthus flower, flowering duration shortened; similar as PP333, B9 mainly for the treatment of inhibition, relative to other two plant growth retardants on the Agapanthus of no significant impact. PP333 concentration was 1000mg/L, the delay flowering until 9 days, the concentration of 200mg/L, the extended flowering period lasting about six days; application 20000mg/L of B9 delay flowering until 3 days, extend the flowering duration of 2 days; application 2000mg/L of CCC 3 days in advance before flowering and shorten the duration of 2 days flowering period, flower diameter reduced 12.26%, all flowering plants; three kinds of retardants are so Agapanthus flower highest rate of decline in the net, Scape thickening, PP333 and CCC treatment to Scape dwarf.The regulation of the same physiological indexes agapanthus roughly the same trend.
