In this paper, the new wood preservative DCP was prepared which was efficient, low toxicity and environmental protection using BAC, S1, S2, Borax and Boric acid that were regarded as active ingredients. These ingredients were screened for antimicrobial activity against white-rot fungus (Coriolus versicolor and Phanerochaete chrysosporlum), brown-rot fungus (Gloeophyllum trabeum and Postia placenta) and moulds (Aspergillus niger and Trichoderma viride) to determine the amount of these ingredients: Carbendazim (2%), Imidacloprid(1%), Borax and Boric acid(5%). The influences of different emulsifiers and the amount of these emulsifiers, emulsification methods, time of emulsification, temperature of emulsification and stirring speed on DCP performances were studied. The results showed that the new wood preservative DCP with good stability, good dispersion and high solid content were prepared under the condition that the amount of these emulsifier was 10 %, the time of emulsification was 30 min, the temperature of emulsification was 70℃, the stirring speed was 1000 rpm by the emulsifier-in-oil method using BAC and OP-10 that were regarded as emulsifier.Wood block test was carried on to evaluate decay resistance performance using DCP and typic ACQ-D wood preservative. At the same time, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe the growth of wood decay fungun in samples. Naked eye observation was used to evaluate mold resistance performance. The results showed that 1 % DCP could obtain grade I antisepsis to Coriolus versicolor and Gloeophyllum trabeum, while 0.2 % ACQ-D could reach the same level. 0.5 % DCP could obtain killed value 0, better than Sodium pentachlorop- henol. The quantitative analysis methods of these active ingredients were determined, as follows: BAC—Two-phase titration; Borax and Boric acid—Inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer analysis(ICP-AES); S1—TLC-UV; S2—IR. The result showed that the others had well leachability resistance performance except Borax and Boric acid. The wood dealt with DCP had well fire retardant than the wood with ACD-D and raw wood.Rat, acute oral toxicity LD50 value of DCP, female: 1470 mg/kg; male: 3690 mg/kg.
