Subeschar tissue fluid (STF) has been regarded as'a bioactive bank' full of many bioactive substances. We have known that the concentration of endotoxin TNF-α IL-1 IL-6 IL-8 and middle-molecule in STF is higher than in serum, which can induce systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), and damage to liver cells and endothelial cells. Objective: To explore the effects of STF on the concentration of NO and ET of serum, then illustrate its biological activity and probable mechanism in the damage of organs and bacterial infection in the early phase of patients post-bum. Methods: 1. Kunmin mice were injected with STF.. burn patients serum and healthy human serum through abdominal cavity to observe the changes of NO and ET level of the serum. 2. At the peak value of NO and El, different dose STF were injected to mice, observe the relation between the concentration of NO and ET and the dose of STF. Results: 1. STF and patients serum could raise the concentration of ET and NO in serum. And STF is more powerful than burn patients serum. 2.There is a positive correlation between the dose of STF and the concentration of ET and NO. Conclusion: STF can increase the concentration of ET and NO in serum. This is an important cause of injuring organ-function in the early phase of patient post- burn.
