The injection of TCM is a new way in administration of TCM. Purification process is important in the preparation of injection of TCM. As ~tudies on injection of TCM went further, more attention is paid on the improvement of purification process.TCM is a complex which containes various ingredients, Single or a few ingredients can not reflect the quality of TCM properly. Fingerprint chromatography can solve this question. Recently, , the fingerprint chromatography of injection has been asked to be provided by SDA.The author of this article has studied the purification process of Radix Salvia miltiorrhiza in xinjikan injection. The EtoAc extraction method, alcohol deposition method and macropore adsorbed resin method was compared. The content of Danshensu and PA of each sample was determined by HPLC,the content of total phenol was determined by colorimetric method 1 .The EtoAc extraction method is the best purification process and the macropore adsorbed resin method is a potent one.The extraction condition for Radix Salvia miltirrihiza is refluxing with water for 14h in Soxhlet抯 extractor. The content of danshensd and PA in Radix Salvia miltiorrhiza was determined by H.IPLC,The result is 1.96% and 0.4%.Fingerprint chromatography of Radix Salvia miltirrihiza and it抯 preparation were preliminarily set up by HPLC . Compared with standard substance, several peaks were confirmed. Fingerprint chromatography of samples in different purification and samples of Radix Salvia miltirrihiza extracted in different time as well as samples of three batches of preparations were provideded, which give information for the further research.
