Hepatocarcinoma is one of severity diseases that does harm to human being's health. It is called as "The king of tumour". Surgical resection remains the first choice for curative treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but it was limited only to a small proportion of patients who have so-called small HCC without extrahepatic metastasis and with the tumour located away from major vessels. With die development of tumor hyperthermia, interventional thermotherapy has become a new way in treating tumors, especially in treating hepatocarcinoma. Interventional radiology advanced rapidly in recent years, making the conceive of interventional heated chemotherapy to come true. Interventional heated chemotherapy combined the advantages of thermotherapy, chemotherapy and embolotherapy, and could become a new effective method to solve the heating problem of deep tumors. At the same time, with the development of neoplasm blood vessel investigation, try to arrest the shape of neoplasm blood vessel , and to destroy neoplasm blood vessel become important. Objective: To observe the effect of interventional thermotherapy on blood vessel of hepatocarcinoma tissue in VX2 tumor-bearing rabbits, to find the theory of- 5 -interventional heated chemotherapy, and make experiment basis for the clinic application of Interventional heated chemotherapy. Methods: VX2 carcinoma cells were surgically implanted into the left liver lobe of 60 New Zealand white rabbits, which were divided into 6 groups at random, with 10 rabbits for each group, which were injected physiological saline(39'Cor 60 癈) or were not injected in different groups of VX2 tumour-bearing rabbits via hepatic artery. To observe tumour's change of DSA, EB, and photographs of pathological tissue, and the examination color Doppler. Results: EB (Evans blue) is higher in tumor than in normal tissue (P<0.05) except post-therapy 7d . Normothermic perfusion resulted in a insignificant increase in EB(P>0.05). Hyperthermia resulted in a significant increase in EB(P<0.05), EB was increased in tumor even more than in normal tissue (P<0.05). Post-therapy 7d, EBV in normal tissue is the same leve as the other's, EBV in tumor tissue is lower than the other's. There are some changes in DSA. The imaging of carcnoma vascularities with the tumor were decreased or dismissed. Histological examination indicated that interventional heated chemotherapy made carcinoma vascularities within the whole tumor tissue coagulative necrosis. Conclusion: Through the establishment of VX2 tumor model in the live of white rabbit, we observe tumour's change of DSA, EB, and photographs of pathological tissue, and the examination color Doppler. Draw conclusions as follow: ㏕he VX2 New Zealand White rabbit system can be used as a reproducible large animal model for interventional heated chemotherapy of liver carcinoma; (D Interventional heated chemotherapy may damage carcinoma vascularities thoroughly, in such a way it may inhibit tumor growth and metastases.
