BackgroundHepatic flbrosis is a common course of many chronic liver diseases. When extracellular matrix (ECM) can't balance secretion and degradation, it will be deposited at the interval of hepatic cells. But the phenomenon is reversible. In our country, hepatitis virus, especially hepatitis B virus is the most important reason for leading to hepatic flbrosis. But now, the effect of clinic treatment to hepatic flbrosis isn't satisfactory. Many scholars have always being devoted themselves to researching the therapy measure of hepatic flbrosis, and have gained some progresses in animal experiments. Chinese herbs have been indicated having the effect on treating hepatic flbrosis, through many researches. But the mechanism isn't definite. In the lately years, countries inside and outside have accumulatedlarge numbers of literatures about biological effect of magnetic field. The biological effect of magnetic field includes improving microcirculation, anti-inflammation, detumescence, increasing immunity and treating tumor, etc. It was not found to report that treating hepatic fibrosis with magnetic field and Chinese herbs. ObjectionAnalyzing serum level of ALT, AST, albumin, hyaluronic acid (HA) and pathologic changes of hepatic tissues, we investigated the effect of rotating magnetic field associating with Chinese herbs treatment group on hepatic fibrosis induced with CCL4. Materials and MethodsRats were randomly divided into four groups, which were normal control group, model control group, Chinese herbs treatment group and rotating magnetic field associating with Chinese herbs treatment group. Normal control group and model control group took physiological saline orally Iml/lOOg weight every day. Chinese herbs treatment group took Chinese herbs orally Iml/lOOg weight every day. Rotating magnetic field associating with Chinese herbs treatment group took Chinese herbs orally Iml/lOOg weight every day, and treated by rotating magnetic field 45 minute every day. Thetreatment course went on 8 weeks. Serum level of ALT, AST, albumin, hyaluronic acid (HA) and pathologic changes of hepatic tissues were analyzed. SPSS software was used for statistic analysis. ResultsChinese herbs can protect hepatic function, decreasing ALT and AST level, increasing serum albumin level, decreasing serum HA level, and compared with the model group, P<0.05 0 The pathology results showed that Chinese herbs could lighten development of hepatic flbrosis. But rotating magnetic field cannot increase the treatment effect of Chinese herbs on hepatic fibrosis in rat. Conclusions1. Chinese herbs can protect hepatic function, and prevent and cure hepatic fibrosis.2. Rotating magnetic field cannot increase the treatment effect of Chinese herbs on hepatic fibrosis in rat.
