PrefaceWith the change of living style and the aging in the world, cerebrovascular disease is becoming a major death reason for human beings. 85% of the cases for cerebrovascular disease death is caused by cerebral ischemia led by blood vessels blockage in or out of the brain. Thus, it s extremely urgent to study the prevention and treatment of is-chemic cerebrovascular disease, and release the threat of this disease to human health. Up to now, the study of thrombolytic therapy of is-chemic cerebrovascular disease, nutritional treatment to brain cells, and supporting treatment have been carried out. The study of the effect of physical factor on ischemic cerebrovascular disease also makes certain progress. As a kind of physical treatment method on ischemic cerebrovascular disease, magnetic field has been preliminarily proved to be value and safety.Its found that the magnetic field may cause a series of biological effect on organism. The magnetic field may enlarge blood vessels, speed up blood flow, improve microcirculation; enhance the degeneration capability of red blood cells, reduce its aggregation, and lower blood viscosity. Thus,the magnetic field has the functions of anti - inflammation, promoting the metabolism of tissues and cells. At the same time, the magnetic field may also prohibit free radical, improve the antioxidation phylactic power, and release the injury of tissue ultra- micro - structure. Magnetic field Is functions on promoting tissue healing, skeleton growth, fracture healing and preventing scars also have been proved.According to the above mentioned biological effects, the experimental researches of magnetic field on ischemic cerebrovascular disease has been done. The magnetic fields applied are: rotating magnetic field (RMF) , constant magnetic field (CMF) , pulse electromagnetic field (PEMF) , etc. This experiment use RMF on the acute focal cerebral ischemia - reperfused rats, observe the influence of RMF on the volume of cerebral infarction, cerebral edema and the radical metabolism so as to study further whether RMF may prevent and treat focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion and the safety of its early application.Material and methods128 healthy Wistar rats are divided into groups randomly as control group, reperfusion group and treat group, and 70 are chosed later. 12 are in the control group, 20 in the reperfusion group, and 38 in the treatment group. The treat group is divided into 4 sub ?groups as emergency treatment sub - group, 6h treatment sub - group, 12h treatment sub - group and 18h treatment sub - group. Make focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion models according to Zea Longa, 2h later make reperfused. The static magnetic displacement of the RMF is 0.25T, the magnetic displacement at revolving is 0. 09T, the revolving speed is 2500r/min. The distance from the skull is 7mm and performing for 15min. Kill them at the time of reperfused 24h. Test the infarction volume, brain water content, SOD and MDA content. Theresult (x +s) is tested by t statistic analysis.ResultAfter regaining consciousness, the animals of both the reperfusion group and treatment group show the nerve function injuries as left upper limb unable to extend largely and turn left. Compared with the reperfusion group, the severity of cerebral edema in the treatment group, apart from the emergency group, is lessened(P <0. 05) ; the volume of cerebral infarction of the treatment group is reduced ( P < 0. 05) , the brain injury is slight, the content of SOD is increased, and the MDA is reduced( P <0. 05).DiscussionAs an important physical treatment method, magnetic field is of massive biological effect. Researches proved that magnetic field is of certain effect on free radical, flowing of Ca2+ in nerver cells, imflama-tion and immune reaction.The magnetic field may reduce the whole blood viscosity, depoly-merize red blood, increase deformation capability, change the blood flowing, and lighten the inflammatory and immune reactionIt is found that magnetic field may increase the antiox...
