Cerebral ischemia is a common and frequent disease of clinc. Disabling and death rat are in the first of the nerve subject of disease. The more and more attention is paid to the prevention and therapy of the cerebral ischemic disease by medicine field. Objective: It was studied the influence of phenolic alkaloids from Menispermum dauricum(PAMD)on hemodynamics and blood rhedogy in rats and explored the mechanism of action for cerebral ischemic. Methods: The model was induced by the occlusion of external carotid artery. Cerebral blood flow(CBF), cerebral vascular resistace (CVR),blood pressure (BP) and heart rate(HR) were determined; The blood stasis mode was produced by immersing rats in the ice and water. The effect of blood viscocity was detected. Results: PAMD can increase CBF and decrease CVR,but have no effect of cardiac function; PAMD can reduce blood viscocity. Conclusion: PAMD processes protective effect on cerebral ischemia. The mechanism of action is relate to increase CBF and decrease blood viscocity.
