Objective To investigate the cytokin production of T helper cell (Th) 1, Th2 subsets in patients with pregnancy induced hypertension(PIH) Methods The cytokin production of Thl,Th2 cells expressd by interferon-y (IFN-γ ) and interleukin-4 (IL-4) contents respectively in Supernatants of cultured PHA induced peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) .obtained from 30 PIH patients and 30 normal controls were determined by enzyme linked immunoabsorbent assay (ELISA) .Results IL-4 contents of PIH patients were decreased in PBMC supernatant (203.2 ± 37.13) pg/ml, while IFN-γ levels elevated in PBMC supernatant (3094.73 ± 1412.84) pg/ml as compared with normal controls (271. 38 ± 48. 59pg/ml, 1919. 71±765. 45pg/ml) (P<0. 001, P<0. 05) , the ratio of IFN-γ IL-4 increased in PIH patients. Conclusions Changes of IFN-γ and IL-4 contents in PIH patients may reflect functional imbalance between Thl and Th2 cells, which may play a role in pathogenesis of PIH.Yi xinhao(pathogeny biology) Directed by professor Wang bin...
