| Objective To assess the relationship between the plasma levels of ADM ,CNP, NPY and hypoxic pulmonary hypertension , providing data for detecting the mechanism of hy-poxic pulmonary hypertension.Methods 50 subjects,including 30 COPD wih pulmonary heart disease patients, and 20 healthy persons were included. The plasma levels of ADM ,CNP, NPY and pulmonary artery pressure and partial pressure of oxygen were determined at hypoxic state.Results (1)In the HPH group, the concentration of ADM, CNP, NPY were significantly elevated in comparison to that in the control groupCf =10. 04,13. 66,7. 19;P<0. 01 ). (2)Negative correlations were noted between the plasma levels of ADM,CNP,NPY and partial pressure of oxygen(r=- 0. 75, -0. 77, -0. 67}P<0. 01 ). 3 Positive correlations were noted between the plasma levels of ADM, CNP, NPY and pulmonary artery pressure (r=0. 77,0. 79,0. 73;P<0. 01). (4)Positive correlation was noted between the plasma level of ADM and that of CNP(r=0. 71;P<0. 01) 5 Positive correlation was noted between the plasma level of ADM and that of NPY(r=0. 49}P<0. 01) 5 Positive correlation was noted between the plasma levels of CNP and that of NPY(r=0. 69;P<0. 01).Conclusions (1) ADM, CNP , NPY serving as vasoactive peptides involved in the patho-physiology of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension. (2) The plasma levels of ADM., CNP, NPY were closely correlated with the severity of hypoxia. (3)The plasma levels of ADM, CNP, NPY were closely correlated with the severity of HPH. (4) There were complicated inter-regulation and positive correlations among ADM,CNP and NPY. (5) Vasoconstrictive factors and vasodilative factors were both elevated, their imbalence had a great effect on the shaping and development of HPH. (6) All these suggested that ADM,CNP,NPY not only involved in the early stage(HPV) of HPH,but also as a very important factor participated in the last phase(HPSR) of HPH.
