In order to find out the relationship between external pathogenic cold and weather indexes, we observed the morbidity of three disease and the changes of the weather indexes from year 1997 to 2000.In the study we observed the morbidity of chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, all their differentiation are exterior syndrome caused by invasion of pathogenic cold. 391 patients are selected, 194 cases are chronic bronchitis, 49 cases are bronchial asthma, and 148 cases are rheumatoid arthritis. Weather indexes were provided by Jinan Weather Station, including mean monthly air temperature, monthly lowest air temperature, mean monthly air pressure, mean monthly wind speed, mean monthly precipitation, mean monthly humidity. We studied their relations by the statistic methods of correlate and linear regress. We got their coefficients and linear regression formula in the end. All results shown: pathogenic cold meanly correlate with mean monthly air temperature, monthly lowest air temperature, mean monthly air pressure, their coefficients descended gradually. The former 2 indexes show negative correlations with pathogenic cold, and the latter show positive correlation. From these results, we can find pathogenic cold is mostly correlated with indexes reflect variations of temperature, so cold, low temperature can reflect pathogenic cold properly.
