| Objective To study the curative effect of the treatment of pharyngeal disease with tonsil-pecking method and explore its therapeatic mechanism.Method 145 patients were divided in random design into two groups - treating and colating groups and were observed after one or two coures of treatment.The treating group were treated with tonsil-pecking method,the colating group were treated with Pharmaceuticals.Results The efficacy rate achieved in treating group were 98% in patients with chronic tonsilitis and 94% in patients with chronic pharygitis.Compared with colating groups,these results reveal statistical significant differences in both groups.To chronic tonsilitis,P<0.01;to chronic pharyngitis,P<0.05.Conclusion The tonsil-pecking method has demonstrated satisfactory results and can be applied as an external treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
