Studies On The Constituents Of Sambucus Williamsii Hance And On The Preparation Process Of Its Compound Prescription

Sambucus williamsii Hance is distributed widely and abundantly in China. The complete plant is medicinal. It is mainly used for the treatments of rheumatic arthritis,injury from fall and fracture etc. Its oil can reduce blood-fat and resist senility.Six compounds have been isolated from the Sambucus williamsii Hance by chemical and chromatographic methods, two compounds (β -sitosterol and Daucosterine) from 95% EtOH extract,four from 50% EtOH extract,two compounds ( α -morroniside and Caryoptoside) have been identified by 1H-NMR., 13C-NMR and MS among the four compounds, the other two ones continue to be identified.The author has found the method to abundantly produce α -morroniside by macroporous adsorption resin. The method is simple and feasible. Quantitative determination by HPLC has been proceeded in compound prescription of Sambucus williamsii Hance, using α -morroniside as the evaluating criteria. The content is 5.8%.The author has also studied the preparation process of compound prescription of Sambucus williamsii Hance.
