Objective:To observe the effect of acupuncture, moxibustion and Chinese herbs on the cellular immunity function of tumor-bearing mice and to afford the scientific experimental basement for the further study on the mechanism of the inhibition effect of acupuncture, moxibustion and Chinese herbs on tumor.Method:The 120 KM mice were divided randomly into 6 groups, namely control, model, acupuncture, moxibustion, low-dosage Chinese herbs and high-dosage Chinese herbs group. Excluding the control group, the rest 5 groups were injected 0.2ml S180 single-cell suspension to set up tumor model. From the next day the acupuncture group was treated with acupuncturing the ST36 point and around-tumor Ashi points. Every point was treated Imin, reinforced and reduced properly, without keeping needle on, once a day. Moxibustion group was applied moxibustion 3min on the RN4 point, once a day. Chinese herbs groups were given 0.4ml liquid condensed, once a day. Disposed for 10 days successively the groups were all stopped treating. The 11st day we took the blood, tumors and spleens to detect the spleen index, the activity of NKC, content of IL-2 and CD3, CD4, CDS, the subpopulation of T lymphocyte and the odds of CD4/CD8.Results:1 The acupuncture and moxibustion groups and the two Chinese herbs groups had obvious effect on improving the kill activity of NKC, content of IL-2, CD3 and CD4 and the odds of CD4/CD8.Compared with the model group the treatment groups had significant difference (P<0. 05) ;2 Compared with the high-dosage Chinese herbs and moxibustion groups, the acupuncture group hadn't significant difference in all of above markers ( P>0. 05) .3 The acupuncture and the high-dosage Chinese herbs groups were superior tothe low-dosage Chinese herbs group on improving the markers. Statistically, the difference was significant (P(0. 05) .4 There wasn't significant difference among the model group and the treatment groups in spleen index (P>0. 05)Conclusions:1 Acupuncture on the ST36 point and around-tumor Ashi points can improve the function of cellular immunity of S180 tumor-bearing mice.2 Moxibustion on the RN4 point can improve the function of cellular immunityof S180 tumor-bearing mice.3 Chinese herbs can improve the function of cellular immunity of S180tumor-bearing mice. And the high-dosage Chinese herbs group was superior to the low-dosage Chinese herbs group. '4 Compared with high-dosage Chinese herbs and moxibustion group, acupuncture group hadn't significant difference in the effect of improving the function of cellular immunity of S180 tumor-bearing mice. But it was superior to the low-dosage Chinese herbs group.5 One of mechanisms of the tumor-growing inhibition of TCM treatments on the S180 tumor-bearing mice is that they improve its cellular immunity.
