The Change Of Plasma TNF-α And IL-6 And The Influences Of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction In Patients With Hypertensive Intracerebral Hemorrhage

Objective: to investigate the relationship of tumor necrosis factor- α (TNF- α) andinterleukin-6 (IL-6)and hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage , to evaluate the value of TNF-α and IL-6 in predicting the condition of patient, to observe the levels of plasmas TNF- α and IL-6 effected by HuangLian JieDu Decoction and further explain the mechanism that HuangLian JieDu Decoction inhibits leukocyte chemotaxis, to offer a kind of effective Chinese herbal medicine against cerebral hemorrhage in the acute stage .Methods: 52 patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage were divided into group A (HuangLian JieDu Decoction + western medicine) and group B(Western medicine). 24 cases(male 15 female 9 mean age 62.8 11.6Y) were served as group A (treatment group). 28 cases(male 19 female 9 mean age 61.8 12.3Y) were served as group B (contrast group). 30 cases(male 15 female 15 mean age 61.3 9.8) were served as group C. Westen medicine was given to 24 patients of contrast group. HuangLian JieDu Decoction was given to 28 patients of treatment group besides the westen medicine, vein blood samples were collected in the morning for testing before and after the treatment, both TNF- α and IL-6 were test by BLISA. Statistical analysis was performed on SPSS 11.0 system software.Results: (1).The levels of plasma TNF- α and IL-6 of the cases with hypertensiveintracerebral hemorrhage were markedly higher than those in group C(P<0.01). After completion of therapy, there were not remarkable difference between group A and group C(P>0.05);The levels of plasma TNF- a and IL-6 were remarkably different between group B and group C(P<0.01). There were remarkably differenct between group A and group B (P<0.01). (2).Group A was much better than group B in decreasing the degree of neurological deficit (P<0.01). (3).The level of plasmas TNF- a and IL-6 was positively correlated with the degree of neurological deficit(r = 0.899 , 0.746; P<0.01)and volume of hematoma(r =0.767, 0.836; P<0.01).Conclusions:1.Plasma TNF- a and IL-6 may be regarded as the objective index of different degrees of condition. The level can reflect the volume of hematoma and the degree of neurological deficit. The higher the levels of TNF- a and IL-6 are, the more serious his condition is.2. HuangLian JieDu Decoction is dominant in curing the patents who suffer from hypertensive intracerebral hemorrage in the acute stage .It can decrease the levels of TNF- a and IL-6 , inhibit leukocyte chemotaxis, and rectify the patient's condition .3. HuangLian JieDu Decoction is a kind of safe and effective Chinese herbal medcine against hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage.It can provide effective help for treating the cerebral injury.
