Objectiv: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Yin-Reducing and Yang-supplementing on spastic paralysis after stroke.Methods: 60 case of spastic paralysis after stroke were randomly divided into two groups. 30 cases in the treatmen group were treated with Yin-reducing and Yang-supplementing therapy. 30 cases in the control groups were treated with traditional acupuncture therapy of adopting only the points of the channel of Yangming. The evaluation of the functional rehabilitation was carried out by the methods of Brunnstrom, SIAS and Ashworth.Result: According to the results of evaluation of rehabilitation, the markedly effective rate was 50% in the treatment group and 20% in the control group, with a significant difference between the two groups (p<0.05).Conclusions: The clinical study has proved that Yin-reducing and Yang- supplementing therapy is an effective method for spastic paralysis after stroke.
