| Objective: To investigation effects and mechanisms of compound Chinese formulas on the proteinuria and charge barrier of Adriamycin nephropathy rats which manifest the nephritic syndrome. Methods: Divided the Sprague-Dawley rats into control and normal groups. The Adriamycin nephropathy model rats were established by single transvenous injection of Adriamycin(dosage 5.5 mg/kg) on the control group and the rats were subdivided into model, compound Chinese formulal, compound Chinese formula2, compound Chinese formula3 and prednisone group five days later. Medication was exerted continuously for twenty -four days from the sixth day. Amount of urine protein whthin 24 hours, serum albumin,cholesterol,urea nitrogen and creatinine were examined and renal specimens were obtained.Anionic sites and polyanion were stained with polyethyleimine(PEI) and alcian blue as a cationic probes to know the charge barrier. Effects and mechanisms of compound Chinese formulas were investigate by those ways.Result: (1)Remarkable proteinuria happened around the tenth-day incontrol group caused by adriamycin.(2)Although prednisone did work earlier than compound Chinese formulas, all the compound Chineseformulas had the function to decrease amount of urine protein whthin 24 hours especially the compound Chinese formula2.(3) All compound Chinese formula and prednisone could increase serum albumin, reduce cholesterol,BUN and Scr.(4)The PEI and AB staining of all the groups given meditation showed better results.Conclusion: Compound Chinese formulas and prednisone could decrease the amount of urine protein whthin 24 hours;increase serum albumin; reduce cholesterol ,BUN and Scr especially the compound Chinese formula2 and prednisone. All the groups given meditation could lower the loss of anionic charge. To protect the charge barrier is likely to be one of mechanism of this effect. |
