Objective To evaluate the expression of somatostatin receptors in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) cell line and in the tumor tissue of hepatic carcinoma ,the adjacent tissue of cancer ,the remote tissue of cancer, the tissue of hepatocirrhosis, and the tissue of normal liver .Methods Taking 125I- [Tyr3] -octreotide as the radioligands . HCC BEL-7402 cell line and the tumor tissue of hepatic carcinoma ,the adjacent tissue of cancer ,the remote tissue of cancer, the tissue of hepatocirrhosis, and the tissue of normal liver were inspected for the receptor binding points and affinity constant. These statistical dates and their difference were analyzed .Results Receptor analysis study showed that the combination between the somatostatin receptors of HCC BEL-7402 cell line and 125I- [Tyr3] -octreotide could receive satisfactory results; The expression of somatostatin receptors on HCC cell line was high(Bmax=l .0 l05/cell) and they had strong affinity to octreotide (Kd=0.24 10-9mol/L) .The statistical analyse indicated that the expression of somatostatin receptors in the tumor tissue of hepatic carcinoma was the highest, and the adjacent tissur of cancer were lower, the normal liver's tissues were lowest. There were no difference in affinity to octreotide among them Conclusion Somatostatin receptors were expressed in HCC cell line, the tumor tissue of hepatic carcinoma, and the adjacent tissue of cancer. The receptors' densities were high and the affinities to octreotide were strong.
