The stability of Wurenchun preparation extracted from Schisandra chinensis was studied in this paper. The result shows that the quality of Wurenchun preparation is steady and that all parameters do not vary obviously. At the same time, the LDso of rats through oral Wurenchun preparation was measured by the improved Karber method. The result shows that the LD50 is 735.70mg/kg, and the 95% of acceptable range is 804.45~ 672.82 mg/kg, proving that the toxicity of Wurenchun is little. In addition, this study measured the sensitivity degree of Wurenchun to Escherchia coli and Staphylococcus by using the stiletto method. The minimum concentration to restrain Escherchia coli is 0.0469mg/ml. By using the experiment animal to establish the pathology model of Colibacillosis, this study measured out that Wurenchun has a good control effect on Escherchia coli. Also, the blood concentration at different time was measured by HPLC and the pharmacokinetics curve, namely, the absorption, distribution and extraction of Wurenchun in the animal body, was established by the MCPKP software. The parameters of the pharmacokinetics are listed below: Ka=1.04133, K= 1.20918, TCP=21.764h, Tp=0.10526ug/ml, AUC= 0.75779, Cmax= 2.12h, T1/2Ka =0.6655h and T1/2K =3.31449h. The above results will help to the exploitation of Schisandra chinensis.
