Purpose Radiation is regarded as the forth pollution after pollution of water, air and noise. Radiation induced the injuring of people health. It is urgent for people to search for anti-radiation and protect-body medicine. There were reported that ginger extraction had function of anti-oxidation, anti-tumor, enhance-immunity. But there were not reported that ginger extraction had anti-radiation function. This study used ginger extraction to investigate the anti-radiation activity and the mechanism of anti-radiation activity.Material and methods1.Radiate animal: Both normal mice and given ginger extraction mice (divided to 3grops 9.3,4.7,2.3ml/kg) were radiated by 2 Gy radiation, once every other day, two times, weight and kill animals 48h of after radiation.2.The study use weight method to detect viscera Index.3.Anti-oxidation activity: The study used ultraviolet spectrophotography method to detect protein. And used spectrophotography method to detect SOD, MDA and GSH-Px.4. Activity of testis mark enzyme (LDH G-6-PD and SDH )was tested by the ultraviolet spectrophotography. 5.The MTT method was used to test T Lymphocyte Transformation activity.Results1.Viscera Index There were not obvious difference on index of liver, kidney, testis between radiation groups and control groups. Spleen index was less than control group. Ginger extraction can not effect weight of kidney, testis and spleen before and after radiation. Liver index of high and middle dose group mice was more than negative and positive group.2.Anti-oxidation activityActivity of SOD, GSH-Px and concentration of MDA were measured . Results showed that concentration of MDA increased obviously in every treated groups. Activity of SOD and GSH-Px in the Middle and low dose group of ginger extraction had not differentiated to compared with the positive group.3. Activity 0f Testis biochemistry mark enzymeG-6-PD, SDH and LDH were thank to be the mark enzyme in testis. This research observed the activity of SDH had not varied every groups. It was identical that activity of G-6-PD and LDH in the low dose group of ginger extraction to negative group.4.Measurment of the blood cellRBC of the every radiated mouse was lower than negative group obviously. RBC of every groups of ginger extraction was more than radiated group. HGB was not obvious difference to compared with positive group. WBC and LYM was reduced in every groups after radiation.5.Ability of lymphocyte transformationIt has increased that ability of lymphocyte transformation in the every groups of ginger extraction to the negative group. Discussion1.Viscera IndexSpleen index was less than negative group after radiation on male mice. There were protection to liver and no protection to spleen.2.Anti-oxidation activityThe radiation can induce MDA and restrain Activities of SOD, GSH-Px in mice tissue. This research showed that high dose ginger extraction has cooperation to radiation injury. Ginger extraction on middle and low dose can reduce MDA. But the middle and low dose ginger extraction can raise the activities of SOD and GSH-Px. we think that the ginger extraction of the right amount is able to meddle radiation injury. 3. Activity of testis biochemistry mark enzyme Activities of G-6-PD and LDH in meddle and low dose groups can be protected Obviously. It was proved the ginger extraction can stabilize the membrane of testis tissue cell to prevent normal enzyme activity. SDH activity was not effected by radiation and ginger extraction.4.Blood common measurement Radiation can injure the blood system of tested mice to promote the drop of blood cell count. In the condition of the examination, The suitable dose ginger extraction had protection to RBC and HGB of tested animals, but WBC and LYM can not be protected to show decline notable in count. 5.
