Objective: to observe the difference of cerebral blood flow between puncturing affected side's and puncturing the other side's Anterior Oblique Line of Vertex-Temporal when treating stroke. Method: 30 cases were observed by means of self-control. The change of cerebral blood flow was observed by Tran-cranial Doppler ultrasongraphy (TCD) when puncturing affected side's and the other side's Anterior Oblique Line of Vertex-Temporal respectively for each case. Result: the difference of cerebral blood flow between puncturing affected side's and puncturing the other side's Anterior Oblique Line of Vertex-Temporal is not remarkable. Conclusion: for the change of cerebral blood flow just before and after puncture, there are no remarkable difference between puncturing affected side's and puncturing the other side's Anterior Oblique Line of Vertex-Temporal. And this study provides objective evidence for selecting scalp points in treating stroke by scalp-needle.
