Theclinical Research On Chinese Herbal Medicine Prevent And Cure Infant Asthma And The Significance Of Monitoring The Levels Of Urine TRF, MALB And NAG

Objectives: To explore the important mechanism of spleen deficiency and blood stagnation in asthma outbreak and meanwhile investigate the efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine in treating infant asthma. Try to find the mechanism how asthma can damage kidney. To observe the safety of Chinese herbal medicines used in the treatment of asthma.Methods: According to the national standard of infant asthma which was announced by the Asthma Prevention and Treatment Cooperative Group, forty children suffering from asthma (cold-heat complication) were randomly divided into control group (n=20)and treatment group(n=20). Both treatment group and control group were handled with xiao qing long decoction and same Western medicines. On the foundation treatment group added some other Chinese herbal medicines which can strengthen spleen and nourish Qi. Then ,observe the variety of symptoms in two groups and the different contain of urine NAG , mALB TRF in these children respectively in mild degree, moderate degree and serious degree asthma.Results: (1) The treatment group was superior to control group in controlling asthmatic symptoms, and the duration of treatment group was shorter than control group. (2)With different degree of asthma ,the levels of urine NAG, mALB TRF were different, mild degree group had no obvious difference with normal children ,while moderate and serious degree had obvious difference with normal. (3)At the stable stage of moderate and serious degree of asthma, NAG, mALB, TRF in urine had no difference with normal group. (4) Monitoredthe levels of NAG, mALB, TRF in urine, we didn't find difference between the asthmatic children who had taken Chinese medicines for half a year and the normal children.Conclusions: (1) The efficacy of treatment group in controlling symptoms was better than control group ,which suggests that it was very important to look after both innate and superficial aspects in treating infant asthma. (2)The levels of urine NAG, mALB, TRF were positively correlated to the degree of asthma .But the mechanism that asthma cause kidney damage was still uncertain. (3) There were no difference between normal children and asthmatic children in the relaxed stage in the levels of urine NAG, mALB, TRF, so we can say that the kidney damage of asthma was conversable , and we must treat carefully to avoid damaging kidney in acute attack stage of asthma. (4)After taken Chinese medicines for half a year ,the levels of urine NAG mALB, TRF were still in normal scope, from which we can say that these Chinese medicines are safe. NAG, mALB, TRF in urine can be made for the early index of kidney damage.
