Objective:Effects of Buyanghuanwu decoction on ICAM-1 , VCAM-1 , PEC AM-1 , iNOS expression of vascular endothelial cell in rats with blood stasis was studied in order to further explore the therapeutic mechanisms of Buyanghuanwu decoction on blood stasis.Methods: The models of blood stasis rats were prepared by injection of Adr and instigation of ice water. Sprague-Daweley rats were divided into randomly five equal groups: control group, model group,high dose Buyanghuanwu decoction used group,moderate dose Buyanghuanwu decoction used group and low dose Buyanghuanwu decoction used group.Protein and mRNA expression of ICAM -1 , VCAM -1 , PEC AM -1, iNOS of vascular endothelial cell was assayed by immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR.Results: Protein and mRNA expression of ICAM -1 , VCAM -1, PECAM -1 , iNOS of vascular endothelial cell in the models of blood stasis rats increased compared with control group.When the rats with blood stasis were treated with Buyanghuanwu decoction, protein and mRNA expression of vascular endothelial cell decreased markedly.Conclusions: This results suggest that downregulated expression of ICAM-1, VCAM-1 , PECAM- 1, iNOS of vascular endothelial cell may be the possible therapeutic mechanisms of Buyanghuanwu decoction on blood stasis.
