Objective Through micro-anatomy of extensor indicis proprius of posterior interosseous nerve, median merve thear branch and deep branch of ulnar nerve, to investigate and prove the ieasinelity of reconstructing the deep branch of ulnar nerve and thenar btanch by translocating extensor indicis prius of posterior interosseous nerve with vessel, and provide theoretical basis for clinical application. Methods 18 fresh specimens of adult upper extremity were d ssected of extensor indicis proprius of posterior interosseous nerve , median merve thenar branch and deep branch of ulnar nerve nicroscopi:ally. And the number and diameter of nerve bundle, the number of myelinated nerve fiber, thedistance between nerve bundle when separated without injury and the length between nerve bundle when separated by force the distance from the muscle entry point of posterior interosseous nerve to extensor indicis proprius to median merve thenar branch and the; beginning of deep branch of ulnar nerve, the length of the xtensor indicis proprius and distal postenior interosseous and soon were measured. Then, anastomose extensor indicis proprius having vessel with distal branch proximal, anastomose deltal distal postenior interosseous having vessel with ulnar nerve deep branch through tunnal at fore-arm, Cutting self skin nerve for right length, anatomose distal posterior interosseous distant part with thenar branch through skin nerve cutted. Result The diameter of extensor indicis proprius of posterior interosseous nerve are (1.10?0.24)mm, and the number of myelinated nerv/e fiber are (618 ?6); The diameter of deep branch of ulnar nerve are (2.04?.42)mm, and the number of myelinated nerve fiber are (13^-2+120); The diameter of thenar branch are (1.62?.36)mm, and the lumber of myelinated nerve fiber are (1088 + 95). The course of extensor indicis proprius of posterior interosseous nerve is constane,and have a certain diameter and a certain the number of myelinated nerve fiber, We could repair median nerve thenar branch and deep branch of ulnar nerve by nerve nerve translocation. Conclusoin The feasibility of reconstructing the deep branch of ulnar nerve and thenar branch by tranfering extensor indicisproprius of posterior interosseous nerve with vessel, a new method to recover the function of interior muscle of hand after injury of ulnar nerve and median nerve theoretical basis for clinical application of the new operating method was provided.
