Larix olgensis Henry var.koreana Nakai, a larch tree, distributes in Changbai Mountain area of Jilin province and drainage area of Mudan River of Heilongjiang province. Its leaves,which are about 1~2.5cm long, appear to be strips of inverse needles and grow spirally in tall branches, fascicledly in short branches. Its spheral flowers grow at the top of short branches. The cones are damask in cubhood and become hazel in autumn.Bioactivity research of pine bark extract indicated that it had antioxidant activity, free radical scavenging activity, anticancer activity, cardiovascular protector activity and microcirculation improving activity. In order to investigate the chemical constituents of it, we studied the bark of Larix olgensis Henry var.koreana Nakai by silica gel, ODS, Sephadex LH-20, MCI gel CH-20P and Polyacylamine chromatography. Forty-three compounds were isolated from the extract. The other compounds were obtained from this plant for the first time.In this paper we also tested the anticancer, antifungal and antioxidant bioactivity of some compounds and anti-hypertension and anti-platelet agglomerating bioactivity of some active parts. Compounds SL-1 and SL-15 show inhibitory activity on K562 cell, A549-cell, PC-3M cell, HCT-8 cell, SHG44 cell with IC50 19.09μg/ml of SL-1 on SHG44 cell and IC50 2.88μg/ml of SL-15 on K562 cell.
